Programs and Services
Sunridge Place is made up of two distinct types of accommodation catering to seniors. Each one has unique features, programs and services.
The Meadows (Assisted Living)
At The Meadows, the Operator provides the following services within the monthly rent:
- Two meals daily- lunch and dinner.
- Once a week housekeeping services.
- Once a week laundry of flat linen.
- Monthly organized events- calendar is provided at the Meadows for public view.
- 24-hour Emergency Response- residents have pendants
Personal Care Services:
Personal care services are provided by the Vancouver Island Health Authority as assessed by the Case Manager. Personal care service is included in the Assisted Living accommodation rate.
The Arbours (Complex Care)
At The Arbours we provide personal and clinical care as well as 24 hour supervision by qualified nursing staff. The following is either provided as a component of the rent paid by residents or their representatives and/or by the Vancouver Island Health Authority:
All meals are provided; substitutions and special diets are available for medical needs.
24 hour security is provided to ensure the safety of residents while in care at the Arbours.
Specially developed recreational and activity programs are developed in consideration of the physical and cognitive capabilities of residents.
Some activities include guest speakers, musicians, religious services, games, exercise classes and outings. See note below.
Most medications are paid under Pharmacare Plan B with no cost to the resident. However, some under the counter drugs may not be covered.
General Information
Definition: Personal Care- is aid with personal daily living functions such as dressing, grooming, eating, and bathing.
Note: Some activities may involve nominal additional charges. Please check with management and/or the activity staff.
